About

I’m Zae and this is my one man show about all things tanking in the World of Warcraft. I’ve been playing World of Warcraft on and off for the last 11 years, since Vanilla Beta. I made every class during Beta but it was my Orc Warrior that made me fall in love with the tanking archetype.

When the game came out, I rolled a Tauren Warrior that I tanked with through Molten Core, Blackwing Lair and partway through Ahn’Qiraj before I re-rolled as a Night Elf Warrior. That warrior is really the heart of my tanking legacy – she represents when I used to play the game hardcore and will always be a fond memory. I tanked with her through the rest of Vanilla, conquering AQ40 and Naxxramas 40. I went on to play her through The Burning Crusade up until M’uru killed the guild I was in.

During the Wrath of the Lich King Beta, I rolled a Death Knight and once again felt that love for tanking from Vanilla Beta all over again. My main has been a Blood Death Knight ever since, but I continue to play the other tanking classes. A friend and I assembled a group of 10 skilled players to do Hard Mode content with through Wrath of the Lich King, but that is where the challenging content ended for me for years.

I played casually for the first part of Cataclysm and cancelled my subscription. I came back for the beginning of Mists of Pandaria and once again cancelled my subscription. Upon the announcement of Warlords of Draenor, I reactivated my subscription and was able to conquer Challenge Modes on three characters before release.

So that brings us to today – Warlords of Draenor. I started the expansion playing with my friends from my original Vanilla guild but I wanted to do more challenging content. I’ve recently left their raiding roster to join a group progressing on Mythic. I’m hoping that this adjustment will allow me to feel pushed by what the game has to offer as well as enable me to become a better player and write better guides.

I hope you enjoy the site!
